The Educational IR Advancement Office is a department that supports the planning and decision-making of university organizational management by centrally collecting and analyzing various data related to education and research collected and held by the university. "IR" stands for Institutional Research. The university, based on its philosophy and educational goals, formulates and publishes policies for "Graduation Certification and Degree Awarding (Diploma Policy)," "Organization and Implementation of Educational Programs (Curriculum Policy)," and "Admission of Students (Admission Policy)." Continuous inspection and evaluation are necessary for achieving these policies and standards. To address this, the university has defined the policies and measures as the "Assessment Policy" and is actively implementing improvement through the PDCA cycle.
The Educational IR Advancement Office primarily focuses on:
Collecting and analyzing information from various committees within the university in accordance with the Assessment Policy, submitting it to the self-inspection evaluation committee. Compiling the manuscript of the "Self-Inspection Report" that the university creates annually, submitting it to the self-inspection evaluation committee for publication. The university possesses a wealth of information related to student academic achievements, including data at the time of admission (entrance exam results, high school subjects, entrance surveys, etc.), during enrollment (course enrollment status, grades (GPA), earned credits, promotion status, academic history (portfolio), course evaluations, etc.), and at the time of graduation (final grades, achievement of Diploma Policy, pharmacist national exam results, post-graduation paths/employment, graduation surveys, etc.). The goal is to provide meaningful new information by centrally collecting and organically linking these data for analysis.
