This joint research laboratory is established from the perspectives of transportation medicine and transportation pharmacy, integrating two key areas: evaluating the effects of medications on people engaged in aviation, railways, buses, trucks, taxis, and other modes of transportation (transportation personnel) in order to support safe operations, and addressing the transportation of medicines within regional healthcare systems. By connecting medical MaaS and drone-based delivery with regional healthcare settings, including community pharmacies, home healthcare, mountain medicine, and healthcare in remote and underserved areas, the laboratory aims to: (1) realize uninterrupted access to treatment regardless of location; (2) develop a phase-free regional healthcare model that functions seamlessly in both routine and disaster situations; and (3) thereby strengthen the resilience of regional healthcare systems.
