1. Our Vision
Overcoming neurodegenerative diseases - including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Primary Brain Calcification (PBC) - represents one of the greatest medical challenges of our time.
Our laboratory seeks to forge a path from innovative basic research toward ultra-early diagnosis and curative therapies (drug discovery and neural regeneration), unbound by conventional frameworks. Equally central to our mission is the training of independent, forward-thinking researchers capable of driving the future of medicine with cutting-edge technology.
2. Our Strengths: Where Technologies Converge
To unravel the complexities of the brain and nervous system, we drive innovative research that transcends traditional boundaries, integrating cutting-edge technologies through close collaborations with domestic and international research institutions.
-
AI × Multi-Omics Mapping the full landscape of disease mechanisms and identifying novel therapeutic targets with high precision.
-
iPSC × Genome Editing Faithfully reconstructing human brain microenvironments in vitro to capture pre-symptomatic (preclinical) pathological changes.
-
Ultra-Early Diagnostics Pursuing preemptive medicine by detecting trace amounts of aberrant proteins before clinical symptoms appear.
-
Multi-Model Translational Strategy Approaching biological questions from multiple complem
3. Meet Our Team
Our laboratory brings together researchers and students with diverse backgrounds, united by a passion for neuroscience and drug discovery.
Faculty
-
Masatoshi Inden, Ph.D. - Professor (Principal Investigator)(researchmap)(Pubmed)
-
Kazuki Ohuchi, Ph.D. - Assistant Professor(researchmap)
4. Collaboration & Partnerships
Open Innovation Across Disciplines The most transformative discoveries happen at the intersections of disciplines. We actively pursue collaboration with both domestic and international partners.
-
For Industry Partners We welcome joint research leveraging mutual strengths including novel therapeutic target discovery, AI/omics-driven approaches, and drug efficacy evaluation using our original disease models.
-
For Academic Partners We are constantly seeking to share specialized analytical platforms, create new research domains through cross-disciplinary fusion, and promote international joint research.
5. Join Us
Prospective Students and Postdoctoral Fellows Our laboratory is fully committed to training researchers who can think, understand, and execute at the highest level. Members gain hands-on expertise spanning the full spectrum of modern life science: from foundational cell culture and animal experimentation to next-generation sequencing and AI-powered bioinformatics.
If you are driven by a passion to explore the frontier of neuroscience - and to see your discoveries translated into real therapies - we warmly invite you to join us.
