On Wednesday, December 24, the annual English Presentation Contest jointly hosted by Gifu Pharmaceutical University and Gifu City Women's College was held at the Mitahora Campus of Gifu Pharmaceutical University.
This year marked the fourth joint event with Gifu City Women's College. A total of 22 students in six groups participated and presented the results of their English studies.

The contest featured a variety of familiar yet thought-provoking topics, including habits for living happily, emotional changes brought about by music, the power of words, the relationship between music and life, effective study habits, and the influence of books on one's life.

This presentation showed how small daily habits can scientifically increase our sense of happiness.
2. How Music Moves Us
The presenters discussed how music influences our emotions and impressions and its connection to everyday life.
3. Think Before You Speak
Through familiar examples, this presentation explained how word choice affects people's feelings and relationships.
4. Should We Finish our Long-Vacation Homework Early?
The presenters compared finishing homework early with putting it off and examined study efficiency.
5. Songs and Life
This presentation introduced how music and artists can support us emotionally at various stages of life.
6. Life-Changing Reads: Four Books, Four Impacts
This presentation reflected on how encounters with books can change one's way of thinking and values.
☆ A Meaningful Opportunity for Learning and Exchange
This contest provided students with a valuable opportunity to enhance their ability to express ideas in English while further strengthening the ties between the two universities.
At the end of the contest, a choir performance by 33 members of the university chorus club filled the venue with beautiful singing, bringing the event to a successful close.
