From May 26 to 29, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming 15 students from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy to our university for a program of international exchange that spanned both academic and cultural dimensions.
During their visit, the students engaged in academic exchange through special lectures, student presentations, and laboratory tours, providing valuable opportunities to deepen mutual understanding in their respective fields.
Cultural exchange activities included a visit Gifu Castle and Great Buddha, viewing traditional cormorant fishing, strolling through the city in kimono, and experiencing traditional Mino washi papermaking.
These activities offered meaningful opportunities to experience Japanese culture and nature, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.

A friendly game of badminton also provided a chance for sports-based exchange, helping the students build a natural sense of camaraderie.

Through experiences such as watching traditional cormorant fishing, walking around town in kimono, and participating in Mino washi papermaking, the visitors deepened their understanding of Japanese culture.

During this visit, smiles and warm interactions transcending language and cultural barriers were seen throughout the event.
Our university will continue to actively promote international exchange programs, offering students valuable opportunities to broaden their perspectives.
This visit also received media coverage from CCN Cable TV, the Chunichi Newspaper, and the Gifu Newspaper.
